Daily Moisturiser vs Night Cream... What's the Difference?

Both Night Creams and Daily Moisturisers play an important role in our skincare routine, but what makes them different?

What is a Daily Moisturiser?

Daily moisturisers tend to be light-weight and more easily absorbed than your night cream. They contain active properties and ingredients that protect the skin from free radicals throughout the day.

Sodashi daily face and neck moisturisers are rich in natural antioxidants and vitamins, such as Avocado and Macadamia Oils, which is important to prevent skin damage from environmental and chemical pollutants.

 What is a Night Cream?

Night creams have a unique range of properties and ingredients, that create a texture that is much thicker and richer than your daily moisturiser.

These ingredients, such as Carrot Seed Oil, Centella and Rosehip Oil, are formulated specially to repair and revitalise the skin while you sleep.

In the morning, your skin should emerge feeling replenished, revitalised, dewy, even-toned and plump with moisture.

Try: Sodashi Nourishing Repair Treatment

 Conclusion?

Depending on your skin type, both can play an important part in your routine. If you have dry, mature or dehydrated skin applying both a daily moisturiser and a night cream can help to nourish. repair and revilatise your skin during the day and night. If you have oily, combination skin you may benefit from just using a daily moisturiser in the morning and evening (try: Sodashi Balancing Face and Neck Moisutiser)

When purchasing, look to buy...

A night cream that is rich and thick, to help repair the skin whilst you sleep. Look for natural ingredients such as Carrot Seed Oil, Centella and Rosehip Oil that are rich in antioxidants and minerals. Look to buy a daily moisturiser that is lightweight for a non-greasy finish and so that you can apply makeup or products over the top. Look for plant oils such as Avocado, Hazelnut and Macadamia Oils.
